"Therefore, my beloved brethern, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord" 1 Corinthians 15:58
Charles (Chuckie) III, Caleb (Charles), Aireale, Adrian, Maya, Joan, Charles Sr., and My Beloved, the above scripture biblically induces disciple(s) of Christ (followers of Christ) having protective-victorious value liken to Christians being refugee(s) escaped from vanities within service for the Lord (i.e. - irrelevant of spiritual climates, Christian's work for the Lord is not in vain.) In addition to rooting in gospel truths, tried faith, and remaining in good works for the Lord, attachments (affections) remaining "alive to eternal values" illustrate effectiveness (not uselessness) in service for the Lord (Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God - Colossians 3:2-3.) Other places of refuge for victorious service for the Lord are "service to the Lord" and "doing the will of the Lord". Service to the Lord is focused service regarding ultimately pleasing God (Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not men - Ephesians 6:6-7.) Doing the will of God is keeping and doing the gospel which reflects wisdom and security within service for the Lord (Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock - Matthew 7:24) which endures the test of time regarding truths within true service for the Lord (Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself - John 7:16-17.) Correspondingly, Paul's Christlike service of defensive doctrines to the church at Corinth should have been understood as it was originally understood against falsehoods that intruded the church (fortunately the church predominately regained understandings.) The Apostles service, exhorted to the beloved, exemplifies no vanity (irrelevant to the spiritual climate) due to his rooting in gospel truths - being steadfast, tried faith- being unmoveable, remaining in good works- remaining abounding, and inner correct motives of remaining alive to eternal values, service to Lord (desiring ultimately to please the Lord) , and doing the will of the Lord- keeping and doing the gospel (refuges for victorious discipleship.)
