I'm observing frequently man's attempt to gain a conglomeration of divine things related to and in the nature of faith - ministry. Gain a conglomeration of divine things through man's coercion, man's manipulation, and man's power undergirded with unlimited monetary resources, strategic positions-relationships, large support groups, and advanced technologies. Unlimited monetary resources, strategic positions-relationships, large support groups, and advanced technologies are great, however, acceptance accompanies expectations. In other words, respectfully said with the intent of edification, it is essential that man (individuals and groups) accepts that their expectation of gain for somethings in life can not be attained through unlimited monetary resources, strategic positions-relationships, large support groups, and advanced technologies (such as the Holy Spirit.) Paralleling support, man has to accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God - Lord and Savior for expectation of salvation.
The blessing is that divine things (such as the Holy Spirt as one mere example) are available to all, but God owns and bestows them (divine things) which simply requires acceptance that God owns and bestows them (divine things.) So yes, if man expects somethings then it is essential for man to accept somethings which basically is what Peter said to Simon. Where is the edification? Here it is: Man's acceptance leverages man's expectations. Simon's acceptance leverages his expectation. God bless you and your families.
